THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT - CHAPTER 7
IN THE NAME OF HONOR
Throughout the first season of The Book of Boba Fett, we have seen Boba Fett continue to grow and develop into a leader worthy of respect from his supporters. But he had not yet earned it from the people of Mos Espa. The entire season led up to the battle for Tatooine against the spice trading Pykes. Finally, the action that has been brewing for six episodes bursts across viewers' screens as Boba is forced to defend his title and the people of Mos Espa. All with the help of his allies. The final episode was an epic action sequence that shows Boba fighting for the House he has created as Daimyo of Mos Espa.
Battling for the Streets of Mos Espa
In the last two episodes, the show took a major detour to follow the Mandalorian. But the final episode returns to Boba Fett, accompanied by friends, as they engage in an epic shootout against the Pyke syndicate. Despite preparing for the arrival of the Pykes, Boba and his allies are taken by surprise when they attack. Trapped in the recently bombed club, ironically named Sanctuary, Mando and Boba take a stand against their attackers while the Mods, Krrsantan, and the Gamorreans are spread thin across the town. Just as they are gaining the upper hand, thanks to the people of Freetown, a set of Scorpeneks droids emerge. He could see that they were losing the battle, so Boba jets back to the palace to collect reinforcements.
The Rancor Unleashed
Boba rejoins the ranks astride his newly acquired Rancor, evening the odds for the intrepid fighters. It takes a team effort from Din Djarin and his Darksaber, baby Grogu, the Rancor, and Boba to defeat the Scorpenek droids. The bounty hunter Cad Bane appears and knocks Boba from the Rancor. While the Rancor proceeds to tear apart Mos Espa, Cad Bane, and Boba battle each other. It is revealed to Boba that the Pyke syndicate was behind the murder of his Tusken Raider family, not the speed biker gang. Boba ultimately avenges them as he stabs Cad Bane through the chest with his Tusken Raider spear.
Grogu makes a decision
In episode 6, Luke forces Grogu to choose between Din and the Jedi way; Grogu chooses Din. Luke sends Grogu to Peli, who appears in a flurry of commotion in the height of the fighting on the streets of Mos Espa. Din and Grogu's reunion is brief, but it creates some excitement for what season 3 of The Mandalorian holds for the pair. Although he chose to leave behind Yoda’s lightsaber, Grogu uses Luke's lessons on the Force to help defeat the Scorpenek droid and calms the Rancor amid its rampage through Mos Espa. One of the episode's closing scenes shows Grogu and Din flying in the Naboo Starfighter, off to their next adventure together.
Boba’s main objective as Daimyo was to be a leader who could earn the people's respect. And as he walks through the streets of Mos Espa, people bow to him and bring him gifts, showing that he has finally earned their respect. The show took some interesting detours away from Boba's storyline but culminated in Boba successfully creating a House for himself and his allies.
